What a weekend

What a beautiful weekend we had here in Central NY. I was able to get so much accomplished I actually feel good about it too. I was able to weed my landscaping, re-mulch it, spend time with the family outdoors and even had a "Me" day. My parents took Zachary for the night Saturday and didn't return him till 5 pm on Sunday. Very unusual, considering my mom always brings him back by 10 am. I spent Sunday afternoon scrapbooking, after we had a Thank-You brunch for our church. Every year they invite the volunteers of church to a brunch at the Sunset. Marissa is a alter server, so she is the one that get the invite and we the parents get to go too seeing we make sure she gets there. Unfortunately, Marissa's days of alter serving is coming to a end soon. She keeps telling us she doesn't want to do it anymore, and that she is getting to big. I keep telling her until she makes her confirmation she has to still do it, because then she can become a reader, or able to hand out communion.

Today, was Zachary's field trip to the zoo. What a yucky day for that but they still went. Anyway, we just did the inside stuff and went out long enough to see the elephant. I promised Zachary we would go back on a nicer day. I just didn't want the daycare kids to get wet and sick because who will have to deal with them sick? ME and I don't want that to happen. Even though it was rainy, and cold the animals we saw where very active. The Tigers where very vocal which I had never heard from them.

1 last thing, 1 week from today my baby will be registered for kindergarten. Can you believe that? Yep he will be 5 in 11 days. It just doesn't seem possible, and yes I am still dealing with trying to get to the bottom of what his actual diagnosis are really is. So hopefully we will get to the bottom of it with Zachary's next appointment in June and hope they are able to get us into a geneticist and that his leg's didn't grow further apart. So please keep that in your thoughts for us.

All rested up

Hi all. We are back safe and sound from our wonderful vacation in Myrtle Beach. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach and seeing things such as Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach, and just driving on the strip. Zachary wouldn't go near the water, and Marissa would just go in to her calves. They definitely are not like their mother who LOVES the ocean. Driving down was a little scary with terrible rain storms in VA on 95. We where down to 30 mph for some time and almost pulled off the highway because we couldn't see. I was not very comfortable during that time (I think I made Rob nerveous).

Our weather was nice. Sunday & Monday was kinda chilly but that was ok because we got to visit with our friends Mary & Ana. They came down from NC to visit. By Tuesday the weather was perfect. I think Thurs & Fri where the hottest days and let me tell you my forehead shows that. I normally burn but for some reason this time only my forehead did. I'm not complaining at all trust me I hate that peeling look so just on my forehead it should only last 1 day.

Thursday night we where able to take Zachary to see Craig Morgan in concert. He was thrilled to death. He loves Craig and his International Harvestor song. Well to make a long story short, it definitely was a night to remember for Zachary. We where able to get a meet & greet with Craig, his autograph a couple times, pictures taken with him, Zachary also got a road crew Craig Morgan Official TShirt, 2 guitar picks that Craig threw out to him during the concert, and we got to be right against the stage and Craig would squat down and sing or wave to him through the whole thing. Truly amazing and thank god for making this happen.

Enough of me babbling so here are a few pictures to enjoy.

Going to the Beach

Just letting you all know we leave Friday for Myrtle Beach. We will be back next weekend and I am sure I will have plenty of pictures to share along with some stories. For those of you that don't know Zachary LOVES Craig Morgan (Country Singer) and he is going to be in concert at a local bar down there, so I being the super mom that I am (LOL) called the place and got permission to bring Zachary in there. I told them about Zachary and purchased our tickets directly from the owner of the bar and they are going to get Zachary a Meet & Greet and side stage passes. (We aren't telling him that just incase they don't come through.) So we can't wait for next Thursday night for the concert only. We don't want to rush it to fast because that means our vacation is moving toward the end.

Please all wish us good driving time and safety. Zachary is a talker and I sure hope he doesn't talk the whole 14 hours we will be driving. Chat with you all when we get back home.

How far he has come

On Monday I took the daycare kids to go watch Zachary at swim lessons for preschool. Zachary has been getting swim lessons since last year at preschool 2x a week and just within the past month he has graduated to NO bubbles. He was so proud of himself, I couldn't resist from going and see him swim. I am posting a couple pictures of him having fun in the pool. The 3rd picture you can only see his face just above water. They where playing sharks and minnows and he was the shark. He had to tag someone and they became the shark at that point.

Daniel's Journey Benefit

This past weekend we where finally able to see the success of our hard work for the past 7 weeks. We had the benefit for 12 yr old Daniel Biljanoski at the Holiday Inn. It was HUGE! We had an estimated 1200 people there. The amount we raised would blow you away.

Daniel is a friend of our that is suffering from a rare brain tumor/cancer. He is getting medical help at St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in Memphis. He is very strong and holding it together very well. During the benefit we where able to have a live feed to St. Jude's and Daniel was able to see everything going on here in Auburn, and we where able to see him and his reactions. Just hearing his voice was amazing in itself with this great technology. Please keep Daniel in your thoughts and prayers through this long road of treatment. Expected return home date is sometime in August if all goes well.

Getting this up & running

Just getting this blog started. I hope you will all like it, and please feel free to give me some tips on things that I am doing wrong or how to make it better. I will be back soon to work on this.
